Alessio Bertallot is not easy to define. Musician and Dj, radio and TV host, journalist and singer. A versatility arising from the musician's role as seen through a classical culture. Alessio Bertallot has succeeded in integrating different arts and modes to a specific end: creating and circulating new music of quality. He was the first to take Rap into the temple of Italian pop, the Festival di Sanremo; the first to present a program dedicated to Club Culture on MTV; one of the few musicians to combine electronic music and poetry. Since 1996 his show “B Side“, on Radio DeeJay, is the reference point for electronic music and Club Culture in Italy.
He became known to the general public as a singer in 1992 at the Festival di Sanremo with the Aeroplanitaliani: the thrilling and significant thirty second silence of Zitti, zitti, live on television with 14 million viewers is recorded in the Festival's history and was recognized by the Premio Della Critica. Several records followed, among which Poesie Fuoribordo, where Alessio Bertallot created a crossover between the poetry of Eugenio Montale, song and jazz improvisation; then NON, an experiment in which words, poetry and drum and bass coexist. Since 2000 he created a series of compilations, the “Bertallosophie" that are in fact reports on the current status of international Club Culture.
Alessio Bertallot is a captivating voice of Italian nightly broadcasting, a cultivated Dj: since 1996 host of B SIDE on RADIO DEEJAY, the most important Italian radio network, Mondays to Thursdays from 21:00 to 22:30 CET. In these years his show has become the reference point where most creative musical trends are presented: Alessio Bertallot is one of the few free and unconventional selectors on the air in Italy. His show has presented many international trends and revealed several new Italian talents. The guests on his radio show included Massive Attack, Portishead, Gotan Project, Burt Bacharach, Air, Damien Rice, Gilles Peterson, Trentemoller and many more.
Besides being a Dj he continues his work as a musician. In 2005 he released a new album of the Aeroplanitaliani, “Sei Felice? “ preceded by a single that reached the top of radio air play.
Djing:
Bertallot is an all-rounder but does favour energy and the funk element in his selections. From breakbeat to electro, from broken beat to drum’n’bass he ranges but keeps the beat and makes no allowances for mediocre selections, but does not play for an elite, as would be expected from one of the major djs to popularize quality music in Italy.
Since 1996 in several clubs, ranging from the “Magazzini Generali” in Milano ( resident dj from 2002 to 2005) to the “Privilege” in Ibiza, to the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
In 2006 and 2008 Director of “Replay: Freeplay” an Italian Tour with Jazzanova, Osunlade, Bugz In The attic, Stanton Warriors, Steve Spacek, Trentemoller, Fink, Nicola Conte, Riccardo Sinigallia.

Ciao Alessio! Mannaggia, stavo lavorando ormai alacremente al progetto "L'appuntamento" e stavo sperimentando il mio nuovo giocattolo che mi sono regalato: un THEREMIN, ed ora vengo a sapere che il progetto è completato!!!
